Mother's Day on Sunday

I cherish all of the Mother's day celebrations with my kids.  They always make me cards or crafts and it's delightful to see their smiling faces when they wake me up and wish me 'Happy Mother's Day.'

Last year, my daughter, who was 3 years old at the time, had wished me "Happy Birthday" instead of "Happy Mother's Day," and even though we would correct her, she would forget and she spent the entire day wishing me a Happy Birthday. So not only did the people at the restaurant or the stores that we went to, wish me a Happy Mother's Day, they wished me a Happy Birthday too.

So to all of the mother's out there celebrating with your little ones:  Happy Birthday!...I mean Mother's Day.
We devote all of our life to our children, so if there's one day that you could be a little bit selfish and spend the day being pampered, Mother's Day is definitely it.  Have fun, enjoy, and relax.

*Mother's Day is this Sunday, May 8th.  As a tribute, I thought it would be nice to have you each share a Mom & Me memory.  Don't be shy.  Leave your comment below.

I liked reading your post. My mom passed away when I was too little to remember. But every year my dad would bring me and my big sister to visit and we would have a picnic and my dad would tell us stories about her. It was like my mom was with us. That's always been the best memory I have of her.
